A new moon signals the first lunar phase of the calendar month. New moons symbolize new beginnings and supports us in our creations, new projects, and goals.
The New Moon invites you to look within and practice self-reflection, and introspection so that we may find clarity and focus in on what needs change in our personal and overall lives. The energy of a new moon supports you in figuring out what is working and what isn’t in your life, setting new goals, initiating new beginnings and breaking old cycles. People use the energy of a new moon to achieve their goals or start on a new project, or set new intentions in their lives. Many also use this time to reflect on their old goals and pursuits and realign themselves new ones.
This Yin Yoga infused Astanga-Hatha class will be a slower style of yoga which will allow for a meditative introspective practice, increased connection and enhanced self-awareness. Blocks and knots in the mind and body impede the flow of energy and nutrients through the body, causing lack of clarity, mental fog, pain and limiting mobility. These blocks can be worked through in these slower moving poses which allow for more introspection, allowing you to find freedom from limitations and connect with yourself through the breath and movement. This practice also targets the joints, deep tissue, and muscles as we will be staying in poses longer than traditional Astanga, or Hatha yoga practices. Allowing for the increased flow of blood circulation to the joints and cells, improved flexibility and increased mental relaxation as well as focus.
Your class will include Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade Aromatherapy and a Crystal Quarts Sound Healing.
Remember to bring a yoga mat, towel and water to stay hydrated.
